Cam blogging...

John Dowdell is wondering about cam-blogging. It's an interesting thought... I've got a web cam that I got to show the 'rents the new grandkid... hmmm. We'll have to see what file formats the cam software supports... maybe it produces real media or quicktime videos by default.

John's site is about Flash MX. From a practical standpoint, using Flash might be the way to go. It seems that Flash MX has a lot of cool multimedia and programming features built in. I would bet that vast majority of internet users will be using that before they download a huge 10 meg JRE.

John had a link to Phil's answering machine which is interesting, though it didn't seem to work for me. That brings up another audioblogging analogy that I thought of before. If normal blogging is like an email to no-one/everyone, then audioblogging is sorta like a voicemail to no-one/everyone...
