The Here Web
John Doerr spoke at the Web 2.0 conference and when asked what the next big thing was going to be, after talking about some non-computer items like clean energy and water, he held up his Treo and talked about the opportunities surrounding what he calls The Here Web (meaning it's always "here with you."). He even mentioned the ring-tone market and shook his head in disbelief.
It's so nice to see Silicon Valley wake up.
There's so much opportunity in the mobile space it's amazing and if John is talking about his mobile phone, you know that there's movement in this space. Or there will be now.
