Roller!
I forgot to mention that David of the J2EE Blogging tool called Roller mentioned the MiniBlog on his website the other day. I like Roller a lot, actually. I read his article on Roller a few months ago, and I'm glad to see that he's still working on it and getting more people involved. I'm not sure about the DB persistance stuff because I think it adds a lot of overhead to a relatively simple application, but the design is spot on. I'm actually working on getting Velocity up and running in the MiniBlog and I'm learning a lot from the way David designed Roller.
