Sillicon Valley Java/C++ Jobs

Wow. Check out this chart. That's amazing. By pure luck, I left the Bay Area for Spain in April of 2000, at the very peak of demand. I was pretty much burnt out and needed a change of scenery. Little did I know it was going to be such a drastic change for both me and the place I left. From 55,000 openings to under 2,000 is insane. Not having seen it, it's almost unbelieveable to me... it was so NUTS when I was living there.

The problem is that I really want to go home. But with so few job openings, it's going to be tough to find a job and tough to get a decent salary if I do find one. Ana won't be able to work immediately not having the English for it, so I'll be playing bread-winner for a while...

I guess I better make plans to continue sticking it out here in Spain for a bit weathering the recession in the U.S.
