Super Depressing

I just ran across this article in Fortune about my fellow Gen X'ers miserable economic situation:

Halfway to pension age [32], she has just $5,000 in a 401(k) and $20,000 in home equity. Ideally, someone her age should have at least $100,000 stashed away.

Really? 100k? Am I that much of a loser? I've got about 10th of that on hand... and Ana owns a bit of equity on the apartment. And it would take me 4 years of my current salary to save that amount if I didn't spend a dime.

Fuck. I didn't realize how much of a freakin' moron I was until just now. I was happy... I'm never reading Fortune again.
