Gizmodo (have I mentioned how much I love that site?) just linked to another story in the RegUk about the ProGear Linux-based Tablet PC for $600 (close out stock).
After reviewing Acer's Tablet PC recently I mused out loud about the viability of using a more overtly tablet-like CE device for what I think of as 'proper' Tablet PC tasks. But why wait, asked reader Per Hammer - this one looks just the ticket, and it's only $600.
Comes with a wireless card too... Yeah. Baby. I would use this exclusively for reading technical materials in my IKEA Easy Chair. Man, it would pay for itself in my improved productivity alone. Damn.
