Getting Into the CTIA Wireless ("Mobile Data is Fun!")

Well, I already paid the $75 (like a sucker) to wander around the floor of next week's CTIA Wireless & Entertainment convention. I love that little graphic above... "Mobile Data is Fun!" Heheh. Anyways, after I had signed up and paid earlier this month or last, I found out that you can actually get some complimentary passes. Urgh.

Hopefully it's not too late, but here's a link to a complimentary pass to Nokia Enterprise Workshop: Once you receive attendance confirmation, you will be given a link to obtain your free admission to the exhibits and keynotes. Nokia will also provide lunch and a networking reception at the end of the workshop. Nokia hasn't gotten back to me yet, so it may be too late for that one.

However, SonyEricsson is having a full-day seminar and lunch on Wednesday: covering both the business and the technical sides of wireless Java development for Sony Ericsson phones. The day will begin with a discussion of the latest market trends and Sony Ericsson's line-up of hot mobile phones. An industry insider will follow with a talk concerning the benefits of unified testing and verification of Java applications, and the morning session will be wrapped up with an operator's view on mobile applications and content. This one doesn't seem to need a human to approve the process and I got my "badge" in email immediately afterwards.

This conference should be pretty great - even just the floor. A major mobile show here in San Francisco, rock!
